In this position, Ms. Callahan, working with the GSFC Chief Technologist in the Goddard Technology Management Office (GTMO), is responsible for planning, coordination, execution and oversight of GSFC technology programs to meet Goddard Space and Earth Science Mission responsibilities. The GTMO supports the development of overall Center technology strategic plans, long-range GSFC technology capability investment planning, and serves as the primary point of contact for technology in general at Goddard.

Prior to becoming Deputy in early 2002, Ms. Callahan was a Project Technologist for the Earth Science Technology Office as well as Program Manager for the Office of Aeronautics and Technology R&D program at Goddard.

A native of Michigan, Ms. Callahan received her bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, and her master's degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy from the George Washington University.

Ms. Callahan spent the first three years of her NASA career at GSFC before working at NASA Headquarters for six years in various organizations including the Office of Space Station, Launch Vehicles and the Office of Space Access and Technology before returning to GSFC in 1996 to assume her duties as the OAT program manager.
