Basketball League Preparing for Upcoming Season - New Teams Welcome!
The
Goddard Basketball League is preparing for the upcoming season,
and would like to extend an invitation to any new teams to join
the league. The league is open to all men and women civil servants
or contractors working at least half time on a NASA contract, and/or
their spouse, siblings, or children.
The
games are played in the gyms in the local area on weeknights, and
have referees and scorekeepers. All skill levels are represented
on the various teams, and the games are competitive, but fun.
Interested
teams should contact Bob Tice, Acting President 6-6139 or Lee Bodden,
Vice President at 4-5351. Individuals who are looking to join a
team should also contact Bob or Lee, as the existing teams may need
a few players. So, whether you imagine yourself to be a Jordan-like
star, or just someone who likes to play basketball and can hit a
basket now and then, this is your opportunity to get back on the
court in organized games!
Please
contact us by October 19, 2001, if you are entering a new team into
the league, or contact us by October 26, 2001, if you are an individual
seeking placement on an existing team.
