Anthrax and Concerns that Goddard Employees May Have

The report of new anthrax cases in the Washington, DC area has heightened everyone's concern about the safe handling of mail, what to do should you be concerned about the delivery of a piece of mail or package to your office, or who to contact if you find an unknown substance and are concerned that it might be dangerous.

Goddard's Environmental Health and Safety staff has created a list of guidelines and recommended procedures for handling such incidents. You can find this information, by going to the Goddard internal web site (http://internal.
gsfc.nasa.gov
) and clicking on: "How to Handle Anthrax and Other Biological Agent Threats" However you can view the information in today's Safety Corner
