Burr Appointed Chief, Procurement Operations Division

Valorie A. Burr has been named Chief, Procurement Operations Division in the Management Operations Directorate (MOD). In this position, Ms. Burr will be responsible for coordinating, directing and supervising the activities of the Division providing the full range of procurement support to the Goddard Space Flight Center from small purchases to the most complex research and development projects. Prior to being named to this post, Ms. Burr was the Associate Chief of the Procurement Operations Division.

Ms. Burr joined Goddard in 1973 and began in Procurement in 1980 where she gradually assumed increasingly responsible and more comprehensive managerial positions. Recently, she served a temporary assignment as the Associate Director of Applied Engineering and Technology responsible for the development and implementation of management processes and business strategies. Prior to that, she served a temporary assignment as Chief of the Information Management Division of MOD.

Ms. Burr received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1993 from Bowie State University.
