Hubble:
George Washington University Magazine featured an article
on six alumni Tim Cole, Heather Hayden, Steve Hoyle,
Cliff Lanham, Steve Leete, and Ray Lundquist.
The article highlights how these Goddard engineers have worked diligently
and on critical aspects of the Hubble Servicing Missions. To view

Hubble images
taken from the recently installed Advanced Camera for Surveys were
released early this week that generated mass media coverage. Nearly
400 stories appeared on major television networks and programming,
which included, ABC - Good Morning America, CBS - Evening
News, NBC - Today and CNN - Daybreak.
Aqua:
Spaceflightnow.com and Discovery.com featured articles
about the Aqua spacecraft. Aqua is scheduled to launch tomorrow,
Saturday May 2 from Vandenburg Air Force Base, Calif. Aqua will
carry six instruments to collect data on global precipitation, evaporation,
and the cycling of water and will examine changes in ocean circulation
and how clouds and surface water processes affect climate, helping
scientists better understand how global ecosystems are changing,
and how they respond to and affect global environmental change.
In addition,
20 live television interviews were conducted early this week regarding
the Aqua spacecraft and launch.
EOS:
NASA-funded research discovering that greater numbers of ice particles
higher up in a hurricane reflect more energy from the Sun out to
space which creates a temperature difference that helps power the
hurricane was a featured article at Spaceflightnow.com. The
research was part of the Convection And Moisture Experiment, (CAMEX-4)
a joint effort between NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) and a number of universities.
