Awareness Training
Unusual things
happen when products are designed to be accessible. How would you
use your ATM, if you were blind? Major banking institutions throughout
the United States are taking this "banking accessibility"
to the bank. The new Talking ATMs provide voice and audio instructions
on how to perform various ATM transactions through the use of headphones.
You can learn more about innovative technology and creative engineering
problem solving for the disabled by signing up for a half-day training
course, presented by Ms. Carol Boyer of A Diversity Advantage. The
training dates are Wednesday, May 15, Tuesday May 21,
and Wednesday May 22. All training events are scheduled from
8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in Building 1, Room, E 100 -D. Refreshments
will be served. To sign up for the training, contact Jeannie Womack,
Code 114, at X-6-6118, or e-Mail at: Jeannie.A.Womack.1@gsfc.nasa.gov.
