NASA Badging and Access

On Monday, May 13, the Administrator announced that effective immediately all NASA civil service employees with a current NASA employee badge will be granted access to NASA Headquarters and all NASA Centers. This is in keeping with the Administrator's commitment to fostering a "One NASA" organization, as well as the "Freedom to Management" philosophy of treating our professional colleagues with the appropriate level of confidence and respect.

NASA Civil Service employees should be aware that after gaining access to NASA Centers with their badge, additional badging may be required to enter certain areas or facilities in compliance with safety or clearance procedures.

The Office of Security Management, Code X, is currently working on a long overdue redesign and re badging of all NASA civil servant employees, agency-wide. In the interim, and in the spirit of One NASA, we are attempting to return as close to our normal access procedures as possible by implementing the above procedures.
