NOAA-M: United Press International, Space News and C-Span attended the NOAA-M press briefing last week. NOAA-M is scheduled to launch on June 24 from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. NOAA-M will monitor environmental events such as El Niño. In addition, Aerospace Daily featured an article on NOAA-M.

ES: The Houston Chronicle Space Daily.com and Space.com featured an article about the recent breakup of icebergs in the Antarctica that scientists say is a natural process. H. Jay Zwally of Goddard was mentioned in the article for his report in the June issue of the Journal of Geophysical Research-Oceans that states that the amount of floating sea ice has increased about 1 percent per year over the last 20 years. Data used for this observation are taken from NASA's Terra satellite.

ULDB: Associated Press in Albuquerque filed a story about the upcoming Ultra Long Duration Balloon that will test launch from New Mexico's eastern plains. The test is part of a program to develop a balloon capable of carrying scientific instruments to the edge of space and keep them there for months at a time.

Hubble: The release of the new images from Hubble's Near Infrared Camera and Multi Object Spectrometer (NICMOS) generated 43 stories from major media markets, which include CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and FOX.
