President
Bush has proclaimed June to be National Safety Month. With accidental
deaths totaling over 100,000 the President encourages all of us
to remember the importance of health and safety in our lives.
Each week for the month of June, the National Safety Council (NSC)
has specific areas to focus on safety. Preparedness is the focus
for the week of June 16 - 22.
Are you prepared
to react positively in an emergency? Do you know how to protect
yourself when at work or yourself and your family in severe weather
events? Are you prepared to evacuate your home or facility at
a moments notice?
Keep yourself,
your family and your company prepared by evaluating your Emergency
Response Plan.
As an employee,
are you prepared to deal with injuries sustained in a natural
disaster or other emergency? Keep a first aid kit handy; better
yet, be prepared with a course in first aid or CPR.
