NASA's Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program

The NASA Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program (SESCDP) provides a series of developmental experiences for individuals who have high potential for assuming executive responsibilities. These developmental experiences, normally completed on a part time basis over a 12 to 18 month period, includes formal courses and seminars, developmental work assignments, and individual mentoring from current SES members.

The purpose of the SESCDP is to develop a cadre of highly qualified men and women of the diversity of the workforce to fill NASA SES positions, which are anticipated to be primarily in engineering and science and primarily at NASA Field Centers; to develop each participant's competencies necessary for performance in SES positions; to orient participants in the organization and operation of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at executive levels; and to broaden participant's understanding of the NASA programs, missions, and issues.

The following Goddard employees have been selected to participate in the SESCDP:
- Mansoor Ahmed, Code 443
- Dennis Andrucyk, Code 500
- Jerome Bennett, Code 930
- Mary Ann Esfandiari, Code 580
- Karen Flynn, Code 220
- Abigail Harper, Code 460
- Chester Koblinsky, Code 971
