And the Winner is…NASA and the Earth Observatory Websites!

NASA's Earth Observatory and NASA's websites were chosen as The People's Voice Winners for this year's Webby Awards. The NASA website won People's Voice in the category of government and law and the Earth Observatory site won in the category of Science. Voters who register through the Webby Awards site select the People's Voice winners. The academy also has panels of judges who select their choice for the top site in each category based on a variety of functional and esthetic criteria.

The Webby Awards is the leading international honors for Web sites and achievement in technology and creativity. The awards are determined by the Academy, a diverse, 350-person organization whose membership includes David Bowie, Beck, Esther Dyson, Rob Glaser and Vint Cerf.
