Headquarters Parking Garage Repairs

Boston Properties began a project to repair and seal the concrete in the garage at NASA Headquarters on Monday July 7, 2002. This multi-phased project will entail crack repair, concrete replacement, expansion joint repair, sealing of leaks in the walls, cleaning and sealing of the concrete deck surface and re-striping.

Reserved parking spaces are normally set aside for Goddard employees visiting NASA HQs, for short time periods. From time to time these spaces may be moved. While the various areas are under repair, people will be directed to park in alternate areas of the garage. During the day, Colonial Parking attendants will be stationed throughout the garage to assist in locating available spaces. This project will mean more stacked parking and a little additional time when leaving the garage. Colonial Parking has set the goal of providing a five-minute or less response time to customer assistance requests.

Vehicles should not be left overnight in the garage during this time since the workers will be regularly shifting work areas and will tow vehicles that obstruct their work schedule.
