Kelvin Henderson, brother of Goddard employee Alfreda Hall, stands near his African-style artwork. Henderson's work has been in museums and galleries worldwide and found its way to Goddard on Celebrate Goddard Day.

Celebrate Goddard Day participants placed flags on a map to show where on Earth they were born. Some of these places included Alaska, India, Iran, Ethiopia, Venezuela and Nigeria. Aliens to Earth were directed to the Code 600 display

As though exploring space was not enough, the members of Goddard's Scuba Club explore the depths of the ocean. These members tried to get the attention of co-workers by showing off their deep-sea gear

The Macauley family shown here (from left to right: Patricia, Valeius and Velma) served authentic African cuisine, including plantain and peanut cake. The actual Africana Restaurant is located in Silver Spring.
