NASA Advanced Sensors Symposium

What: You are invited to attend NASA's Advanced Sensors Symposium (NASS) on new developments and research directions in sensor systems and devices related to America’s space program. This symposium will feature leading researchers and program managers from several NASA centers including Goddard, NASA Headquarters, Kennedy Space Center, Langley Research Center, Glenn Research Center, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Attendees will include corporate business leaders and senior technologists
from large and small companies. If your organization is involved in the
development, manufacture, and integration of sensors or sensor systems, you
may be interested in attending this meeting. You will learn about sensor
developments at NASA and about the opportunities for acquiring or developing
new sensor technologies through partnership with NASA.

When/Where: July 29­31, 2002 at the Marriott Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland.
NASS Registration Fee: $220 includes symposium, meals, and receptions.

NASA Day at King's Dominion -- July 27

What: Tickets are on sale now at the GEWA Store for this special offer to all Goddard employees (government and contractor), retirees, and their families and friends: All-day park admission and a classic picnic buffet lunch (1:30-3:30 pm) in the park pavilion. NASA GSFC 29th Annual Small and Small Disadvantaged Business Conference

What: This conference provides an opportunity for small businesses to engage in discussion about their company with key end-users from GSFC's technical and scientific organizations and with procurement staff, as well as glean pertinent information about current and future contract opportunities at NASA.

GEWA Lunchtime Concert

What: A lunchtime performance by "The Lost Patrol." The "Lost Patrol" repertoire includes female vocals framed by melodic acoustic and electric instruments. A savory bombardment of wide screen instrumentals, tales of lost love, and tons of atmosphere conveying a living, breathing version of a movie soundtrack. This is a professional group that's touring the East Coast.

Eurest Dinning Services, Mr. Tom Miller and staff invites you to enjoy a summertime cookout, while listening to and enjoying the Lunchtime Concert.
