Center Director's Colloquium

What: Shirley Ann Jackson, President of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, will speak on the subject of leadership and the challenge of finding the next generation of engineers and scientists. The title of Dr. Jackson's talk is "Aristotle, Darwin, September 11th, and Leadership." Dr. Jackson's presentation is co-sponsored by the Center Director's Colloquia Series and the Women's Advisory Committee.

IUE Project Reunion Luncheon

What: Goddard Retirees & Alumni Association (GRAA) invites all members of the International Ultraviolet Explorer (IUE) project and any interested employees to a IUE reunion luncheon. The cost of $9.00 includes food, beverages and desert.

When/Where: Tues, Sept 10 at 11:30 in the Goddard Rec. Center

EOY Island Party Shrimp Feast

What: The authentic island steel band "Ewabo" and a catered dinner will highlight a great party along with the scrumptious menu of 1 lb. jumbo steamed shrimp per person, jerk chicken, grilled burgers/hot dogs, potato salad, "island rice", baked beans, slaw and beer/wine/sodas. Plus CASH door prizes!

When/Where: Thurs., Sept. 26 at the Rec Center from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: Tickets cost $11/person until COB September 13th, then the price goes up to $15/person through September 20th. Only 200 tickets will be sold and no tickets will be sold after September 20th (no exceptions). (Sponsored by GEWA)

This course acquires and refines the necessary skills and approaches for negotiating intellectual property license agreements. Participants engage in hands-on negotiation exercises to enhance their skills.

This course identifies the methods for valuing a technology by outlining strategies for determining the net present value of the business the technology supports and the portion of profits that can be attributed to the technology. The Relief from Royalty and Technology Factor valuation methods are examined thoroughly.
