Earth Science:
Earth Science: Space.com featured a front page article about the GSFC scientists in the remote Bovilian Amazon in pursuit to determine if the unusual circular crater was created by a meteor or comet under the NASA Iturralde Crater Expedition (ICE) 2002 that will. Dr. Peter Wasilewski organized the expedition that will be led by Dr. Tim Killeen of Conservation International and Dr. Compton Tucker of Goddard will assist Dr. Killeen. In addition, Astronomy.com, Cosmiverse.com, The Tennessean and Der Wissenschaft (Germany) also featured articles.

Jim Hansen's (GISS), research study, using a computer climate model to simulate the last 50 years of climate change, was featured in several was featured in several media sources which included ABC News, CNN, Philadelphia Inquirer, Cosmiverse.com, Ananova.com, Science Daily.com, Saudi Press Agency and Plantark. Hansen used a computer model that stimulated the past 50 years of climate changes and it provided confidence in understanding the causes behind climate changes that have occurred over that time period.
