Dr. Steven Zubrick to Present at Today's Scientific Colloquia

Who: Steve Zubrick of National Weather Service in Sterling, VA will discuss the topic, "The Washingtion DC Tornado of 24 September 2001: Pre Store Environment and Radar Perspectives Plus a Preliminary look at the 28 April 2002 La Plata Maryland F4 Tornado." Mr. Zubrick will focus on the meteorological environmental factors that led to development of supercell thunderstorms in Sept 2002. In addition, the radar analysis of the tornadic supercell that tracked across the DC region and the factors involved in the warning decision-making process. Washington DC region will be reviewed.
