GSFC Education
Programs office is hosting a NASA Administrator's Fellow from Cheyney
University, Dr. Ayodele Aina, Professor of Mathematics. Dr.
Aina's will research methods for integrating NASA mathematics into
the middle school curriculum and pre-service education.
GSFC scientists recently provided Anne Arundel County science teachers
in-service presentation on Earth science content at the Visitor's
Center. The presenters included Keff Holverson, TRMM Outreach,
Joanna Joiner, Data Assimilation and Claire Parkinson,
Aqua.
CNN.com featured an article on Moon trees that traveled to
space as seedlings that were planted once they returned to Earth.
The article quotes Dave Williams, planetary scientist at
Goddard, who manages a web site that tracks the location and type
of the known moon trees.
