New Email Address, At NASA Dot Gov

The NASA e-mail system for all GSFC mail servers and NASA Civil Servants is about to change in response to the agency's direction to achieve a coherent "One NASA" community. The new e-mail address will unify the e-mail system for all NASA Civil Servants.

Marshall Space Flight Center was tasked to create a unique e-mail address for each NASA Civil Servant, such as: name@nasa.gov. Your exact address name will be assigned to you. Goddard will guarantee delivery of e-mail to those addresses starting next Monday, Nov. 4. Much like the current Goddard x500 system the new "@nasa.gov" addresses will only redirect e-mail to your current real inbox, similar to an alias. The new address is another path to reach you and not an address where you can check mail.

To implement the new One NASA e-mail initiative, there are a few simple actions that must be completed by each Goddard Civil Servant. The directions will be found on the CNE web page at http://CNE.gsfc.nasa.gov, beginning Nov 2.
