Space and Cosmic Ray Physics Seminar

Who: Dr. S. Kanekal from Catholic University of America, DC will speak on "Relativistic Electrons in the Earth's Magnetosphere." Dr. Kanekal will present results from SAMPEX and POLAR observations of electron dynamics. Measurements of relativistic electron fluxes by SAMPEX, POLAR, and other geosynchronous spacecraft will be used to characterize electron energization, long-term variability of electron fluxes, and the Jovian electron source.

BIG Fish Fry

What: The Blacks In Government GSFC/WFF Chapter invites Goddard employees to a lunchtime fish fry. The menu includes: 2 pieces of fish, potato salad, bread, soda and green beans. Tickets for the luncheon are $6.00

Education Colloquium

The Education Council is sponsoring an Education Colloquium on Nov 26 at 10:00 a.m. in Building 3 Goett Auditorium. Maryland administrators/superintendent's will talk about school system initiatives. Goddard employees are invited to attend this colloquium.

 

Children's Holiday Party

What: GEWA's annual holiday party is open to children and grandchildren ages 0-8 of Goddard employees and retirees. Includes a personalized gift from Santa, color photo, magic show, clowns, face painting, and more for only $7 per child ($1 per adult). Hurry -- Registration forms and tickets are at the GEWA Store. Tickets must be purchased by COB December 11th.

When/Where: Saturday, December 14, from 12 noon til 5 p.m. in the Bldg. 8 auditorium.
