The Star-Ledger featured an article on Fred Espenak, astrophysicist at Goddard who will be observing the next total solar eclipse in South Africa. Espenak will witness this spectacular natural event from the only place on Earth from which a total solar eclipse total will appear.

Education
An article about the NASA and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) partnership, which provides WPI students with hands-on working experience at Goddard was featured in the Black Issues in Higher Education. Alda Simpson, associate director of the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate at Goddard is quoted in the article explaining that the training the students receive equips them with qualified experience they need to get jobs upon graduation.
