These might be some of the questions you have about Core Financial. A Change Agent will help answer these types of questions and provide you with information about the Core Financial Project. On Thursday, November 21st, the Change Agent Network was officially kicked off. The Change Agents met for the first time to discuss the importance of establishing solid two-way communication between the Core Financial Project team and the GSFC community.

The Change Agents represent organizations across the Goddard Community. Change Agents play a vital role in the success of the Core Financial project as they help to disseminate information from the Core Financial Project Team to the GSFC End Users and the entire community as a whole. Additionally, the GSFC community can look to the Change Agents to ask questions, raise concerns or frustrations and learn more about how Core Financial will benefit NASA as a whole and GSFC as a Center.

Core Financial, a part of the Integrated Financial Management Program, is implementing SAP, a commercial off-the-shelf product. With implementation of the Core Financial system and improved business processes, NASA will have its first fully integrated financial management system. This will give the Agency more timely, consistent and reliable information for better management decisions and will also enable full-cost accounting.
