Goddard Shows Support for IFMP

The Integrated Financial Management Program (IFMP) drew very good attendance to both events on Thursday with a standing room only turnout for the morning Financial Forum and a steady flow of over 400 visitors to its afternoon Expo II. Yet it wasn't the number of participants, but rather their questions, attention, and interest that were the real signals that the GSFC workforce is engaged and supportive of the IFM Program. Afterwards, Mark Walther, the Goddard IFMP Chief, noted that the GSFC's reaction to these two events is a great source of encouragement for the Goddard IFMP Team and its ability to continue to institute new business tools and processes at Goddard.

Patrick Ciganer, the NASA IFM Program Executive, also showed his commitment to the continuous improvement and success of the program at Goddard by personally inviting both suggestions and criticism in the morning forum. The Goddard IFM Team followed suit in the afternoon with panel discussions, demonstrations and tutorials geared towards inviting input and participation. The results of both of these sessions pleased the Goddard IFMP Team, which has planned similar town hall, panel discussion and tutorial/demonstration events for the near future. For more information on the IFM Program visit their Goddard-specific site at http://ifmpinfo.gsfc.nasa.gov/ or contact Chris Koenemann at 61953.
