Full Participation Needed for Safety Survey

As an effort to continue safety awareness and practices, the Center has chosen to use the Agency's Safety Performance Evaluation Profile (PEP) survey to assist in determining strengths and weaknesses within the safety program. The PEP survey is a self-assessment tool used to evaluate the effectiveness of Goddard's Occupational Safety Program from management and employee perspectives.

The Occupational Safety and Health Survey will be available at: http://safety1st.gsfc.nasa.gov from Feb 3 - 21, 2003. All Greenbelt civil service employees will be given a PIN number to access the survey web site. PIN numbers will be distributed next week.

All employees are encouraged to participate. The survey should take approximately 45 minutes to complete. The responses to this survey are very important and will enable tailoring of our Center's safety program to meet our customer's needs.

The Safety and Environmental Branch will provide the results of this survey to each directorate and assist them in developing a safety program more specific to that particular organization and its mission. Wallops employees have already completed the survey and those results will be incorporated in the final report.

If you have any questions or if you have any problems with accessing the survey, please contact Lisa Cutler, Code 205.2 at 6-7409.
