Union exhibit | Hundreds
of Center employees took advantage of Goddard's Quality of Worklife Expo, held
April 28 in Bldg. 1. The event was an opportunity for employees to increase their
knowledge of the various quality of work life services available at the Center.
Consultants and representatives from the Employee Assistance Program and the Health
Unit were on hand to answer questions and provide information about their services.
Human Resource representatives also offered information about employee benefits,
retirement, leave and career development. Goddard Employee Welfare representatives
from the various clubs, as well as the GEWA council and store were also present.
Information about
the Center's new referral service, WorkLife4You, was available. This new service
offers employees information and referral services that are designed to save time
and reduce stress while helping them better manage their day-to-day responsibilities.
More information on the service is available at: http://www.worklife4you.com. Entertainment
was provided by the members of the 20 After Band, songs from children enrolled
at the Goddard Child Development Center and Don Wolford. About 600 employees strolled
from one information exhibit to another during the day long event. The
Quality of Worklife (QWL) initiative was launched to foster amenities and to ensure
that all employees are aware of all the special services that Goddard has to offer.

Approximately 600 attendees
were entertained as they went from one exhibit table to another with live music
from the "20" After band and songs from the Goddard Child Development
Center and Don Wolford.
