Quality of Worklife Expo

Center Director, Al Diaz and Associate Director Alison McNally visit NASA Federal Credit Union exhibit

Hundreds of Center employees took advantage of Goddard's Quality of Worklife Expo, held April 28 in Bldg. 1. The event was an opportunity for employees to increase their knowledge of the various quality of work life services available at the Center. Consultants and representatives from the Employee Assistance Program and the Health Unit were on hand to answer questions and provide information about their services. Human Resource representatives also offered information about employee benefits, retirement, leave and career development. Goddard Employee Welfare representatives from the various clubs, as well as the GEWA council and store were also present.

Information about the Center's new referral service, WorkLife4You, was available. This new service offers employees information and referral services that are designed to save time and reduce stress while helping them better manage their day-to-day responsibilities. More information on the service is available at: http://www.worklife4you.com.

Entertainment was provided by the members of the 20 After Band, songs from children enrolled at the Goddard Child Development Center and Don Wolford. About 600 employees strolled from one information exhibit to another during the day long event.

The Quality of Worklife (QWL) initiative was launched to foster amenities and to ensure that all employees are aware of all the special services that Goddard has to offer. For general information about the program, visit: http://ohr.gsfc.nasa.gov/family/home.htm
