Who: : Author, John Steele Gordon, will discuss, "A Thread Across the Ocean: the Heroic Story of the Transatlantic Cable." Gordon specializes in business and financial history, he has published in Forbes, the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. In addition, he has a column in the American Heritage magazine. Gordon will provide the history of the laying of the Atlantic cable.
