NASA GSFC Core Financial Team is Certified for a June 23 Go - Live

The GSFC Core Financial team achieved a significant milestone when it received approval from IFMP Center and Agency Leadership to proceed as scheduled toward the June 23rd "Go-live" date. The Operational Readiness Review (ORR) was held May 8, 2003. To achieve a "Go" certification the project team had to meet the following criteria:

  • Functional, technical and performance testing successfully completed
  • GSFC adequately prepared to accept the Core Financial System
  • Overall system operations readiness and procedures are acceptable
  • IFMP Competency Center is prepared to support system operations

After the project status was reported, the GSFC Advisory Committee, IFMP Leadership, and the Core Financial Agency Implementation team each gave an enthusiastic "Go" vote! GSFC is scheduled to Go- Live with the other three Wave Three centers DRFC, LaRC, SSC. With the completion of Wave Three, Core Financial will be operational in all 10 NASA Centers.
