Awards of Excellence

Nominations to be considered for the second Annual Awards of Excellence must be submitted to the Awards Office, Code 114, by c.o.b., Monday, June 23, 2003. The ceremony will be held in mid-October 2003. Please refer to the OHR Home Page - http://ohr.gsfc.nasa.gov/forms/Ohr/home.htm for the form and criteria. Call for Papers - 6th MAPLD International Conference

Abstracts are being accepted for the 6th annual Military and Aerospace Programmable Logic Devices (MAPLD) International Conference. Programmable devices, technologies and related aspects of digital engineering will comprise the major emphasis of this conference.

This year, there will be a special emphasis on papers with the following themes:

  • Reliability of Hardware and Designs; Fault Tolerance
  • Reconfigurable/Adaptive Computing Systems
  • Long-term Space Missions: > 15 Years
  • Hardware and Software: The line is blurring
  • Radiation Hardening by Design
  • Digital Signal Processing with Programmable Devices
  • Design Security
  • "War Stories" and Lessons Learned

The event will occur on September 9-11, 2003 at the Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, D.C.

NASA Day at King's Dominion

Tickets are on sale now at the GEWA Store for this special offer to all Goddard employees (government and contractor), retirees, and their families and friends: All-day park admission on July 12 and an all-you-can-eat classic picnic lunch (1:30-3:30 p.m.) of roast chicken, burgers/hot dogs and all the trimmings, plus sodas/iced tea and ice cream. BUY YOUR TICKETS EARLY -- Cost until July 1: $31 (ages 13 & up), $25 (ages 3-12). Prices go up $3/ticket on July 2. FREE ages 2 & under, and parking costs $6/vehicle.

 

Auditions for "BARNUM", the Greatest Show on Earth

MAD will hold auditions for their Fall Dinner Theater production, "Barnum", in the Bldg. 3 auditorium at 6 p.m. on July 21, 22, and 23. Directed by Eliot Malumuth and produced by Suzy Crabb, the show is a high energy jazzy 1980 musical. Can you juggle, twirl a baton, tumble, do a handstand, sing the blues, be a clown? Have you ever wanted to join the circus, walk a tightrope, be in a Broadway musical? Now's your chance!
