Core Financial Goes Live at GSFC on Monday

Welcome to IFMP Core Financial; a giant step toward One NASA. On Monday (6/23), GSFC joins its colleagues from MSFC, GRC, JSC, KSC, Headquarters, ARC, SSC, DRFC, and LARC in using NASA's first fully integrated financial management system. Core Financial will improve NASA's fiscal accountability by delivering more reliable and accurate management information.

As with any major system implementation, we anticipate there will be an adjustment period during the first several months of production. To alleviate these problems, and the user frustration that often accompanies them, we have implemented a set of post-Go-Live stabilization and support processes. Important dates and information to keep in mind:

Core Financial Go-Live Strategy at GSFC

• On 6/16, Contract Cost Report (CCR) Analysts and CCR Processors enter the system to prepare CCR crosswalks, inception-to-date costs, and accrual worksheets
• On 6/23, backlog transaction owners will enter manual transactions processed during the cut-over period (RFO, Resources and Procurement)
• On 7/7, all remaining Core Financial users enter the system

Account Activation
You will have seven business days to activate your account(s) after your specified Go-Live date

• Log into each Core Financial application you have access to and reset your passwords
• Initial passwords expire the first time you log on
