Successful Core Financial "Go-Live" for GSFC!

IFMP Core Financial had a successful "Go-Live" at GSFC on June 23rd! Core Financial, the Agency's first fully integrated financial management system, is now operating at all ten NASA centers. Core Financial will improve NASA's fiscal accountability by delivering more reliable and accurate management information.

Several hundred of the over 2000 GSFC Core Financial end users are already using the system. These users were completing their Cost Accrual Worksheets as well as eliminating the backlog that occurred doing the Cut-over period. All remaining 1726 end users can access the system on Monday, July 7th provided they meet the following access requirements:

1) Completed all assigned Core Financial Training (Instructor Led and Web-based Training)
2) Completed NASA FORM 1700 and turned into Jim McDonald* in Bldg 18, room 200
3) Received SAP Logon ID/Password from Jim McDonald in Bldg 18, room 200

As with any major system implementation, we anticipate there will be an adjustment period during the first several months of production. To alleviate these problems, and the user frustration that often accompanies them, we have implemented a set of post-Go-Live stabilization and support processes. Account Activation
You will have seven business days to activate your account(s) after your specified Go-Live date

• Log into each Core Financial application you have access to and reset your passwords
• Initial passwords expire the first time you log on
