Actors from Orlando-Ward & Assoc. perform.

Celebrate Goddard Day activities began on Tuesday, June 24 with the showing of two movies as an effort to raise diversity awareness. Members of the Celebrate Goddard committee served popcorn to moviegoers.

Then on Wednesday, June 25 a drama presentation was given in the building 3 Goett auditorium. The presentation included four short humorous scenes that reflected typical diversity assumptions, biases and stereotypes and brought attention to micro-messages and light subtle behaviors that occur within the workforce. After each performance, the facilitator, Mark Schall lead the audience in an interactive debriefing and discussion that introduced various concepts and ideas.

Centennial of Flight Activities Gain Momentum: NASA has a special connection with the Wright Brothers' 100th anniversary. In 1915, the United States Congress created the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, NASA's predecessor organization. During 2003, Inventing Flight offers an outstanding opportunity for NASA to reach the public and show pride in our part of aviation's evolution. Visit the NASA Glenn Centennial Website at: http://centennial.grc.nasa.gov for information about the Inventing Flight celebration. Volunteers are needed for most of the venues and participation is open to all NASA civil service employees, contractors and retirees with supervisory approval.
