Goddard in the News

Wayne Esaias, Code 971 was interviewed for Space News concerning MODIS reprocessing data and the time it takes in comparison to SeaWiFS data reprocessing time.

Local media and points around the eastern shore featured coverage of the Wallops launch for the experiment, which created nighttime clouds that were visible in 7 states.

The Washington Times, News Daily, MSNBC, Charleston Post and Carrier, and Space.com were among the many media resources that featured the findings from scientists about a limit to how fast a pulsar spins and speculate that the cause is gravitational radiation: The faster a pulsar spins, the more gravitational radiation it might release, as its exquisite spherical shape becomes slightly deformed. The research was conducted through the use of NASA's Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer.
