The Goddard
Visitor Center is hosting Luna a five-foot bird from the Birds I
View, a Prince George's County public art exhibition. Local artists
decoratively designed the 74 colorful five-foot sculptured birds
which are modeled after the bluebird, the official county bird and
a native species to Maryland. The vibrant birds are located throughout
Prince George's county and are a way for residents and visitors
to discover the beauty and various parts of the county. The Birds
I View is a collaboration of the Maryland-National Capital Park
and Planning Commission's Department of Parks and Recreation and
the Prince George's Art Council.
Visit the Goddard
Visitor Center to view Luna or for more information on the Birds
I View exhibit.
