2003 Request for NASA's Fellowship Program

This is the annual request for nominations for NASA's Fellowship Program.

Center management should choose individuals for this program who are expected to take on roles of broader responsibility upon their return to the Center (this does not imply a promotion) since the Fellowship Program is an Agency-wide leadership development program designed to support NASA's succession planning strategy. This may include increased responsibility, new assignments on Center or Agency teams, or other opportunities in which the returning participant can use and share his/her expanded learning and experience. Timing of these developmental experiences is critical to assuring maximum return on investment and employee effectiveness.

This is a highly competitive program. The GSFC Executive Development Advisory Panel (EDAP) will review applications on August 20, the Center Director approves the recommendations and forwards them to the Agency Executive Development Education Panel (EDEP) for final review and selections. Final selections will be based on the needs of the Agency, the demonstrated potential of the nominees, and the match of the individual needs with program objectives.
