This week's
'Space Chats' featured Dr. Antonio Mannino from the Laboratory
for Hydrospheric Processes who gave a colorful presentaiton explaining
how Goddard contributes to the objectives of the Earth Science Enterprise
by studying the ocean with remote sensing, developing models, field
measuring and experiments. Mannino also discussed how satellites
such as SeaWifs and the MODIS instrument assist with studying of
the various biological aspects of the ocean.
Space Chats
is a series of free interactive presentations open to the public
for Goddard scientists, researchers and program managers to discuss
the latest findings in space and earth research. The presentations
will be held at 7:30 p.m. every Thursday evening this summer at
the Goddard Visitor Center.
Everyone is
invited and encouraged to attend the next presentation that will
be given by Dr. Marshall Shepherd on Thursday, August
