Steps to
Budget Formulation's "Go Live"
As we prepare
for Release 0.5, the Budget Formulation Project Team wants to make
certain you are aware of the steps you need to take to "Go
Live."
As you know,
"Go Live" for Release 0.5 is October 27th. However, unlike
Core Financial, Goddard's Budget Formulation users "Go Live"
on a rolling basis. As users complete their instructor-led training
requirements, they will become eligible to receive their system
user id and password.
Outlined below
are the critical tasks required of you before accessing the Budget
Formulation production environment. Please take a moment to review
these steps to assure your smooth transition to BF.
Steps to
Go-Live:
1. Complete
Full Cost 101 web-based training --> Access Full Cost 101
here: http://budgetformulation.gsfc.nasa.gov/registration/index.cfm
2. Attend
the Pre-Training Workshops for foundational and role-specific
Budget Formulation information --> View the Pre-Training Workshop
schedule here: http://budgetformulation.gsfc.nasa.gov/Training.htm
3. Attend
your scheduled, instructor-led training classes --> Login
here to check on your assigned roles, training schedule, and course
completion status: http://budgetformulation.gsfc.nasa.gov/registration/index.cfm
4. Complete
NASA Form 1700 to gain access privileges to the BF system -->
Look for your pre-populated Form and accompanying instructions via
US mail (for IV&V and GISS users) and inter-office mail (for
GSFC and WFF users) between Friday, October 17 and Wednesday,
October 22.
5. Submit
NF 1700 to the Center Security Administrator --> If you are
located at GSFC, hand-carry your Form to Building 18, Room 200
between 8am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Don't forget
to bring your NASA badge to verify your submission! If you are located
elsewhere, reply via US mail (IV&V and GISS) or inter-office
mail (WFF).
6. Contact
the Help Desk (301-286-4IFM), and select Option #3, if you have
any questions regarding BF.
