Steps to Budget Formulation's "Go Live"

As we prepare for Release 0.5, the Budget Formulation Project Team wants to make certain you are aware of the steps you need to take to "Go Live."

As you know, "Go Live" for Release 0.5 is October 27th. However, unlike Core Financial, Goddard's Budget Formulation users "Go Live" on a rolling basis. As users complete their instructor-led training requirements, they will become eligible to receive their system user id and password.

Outlined below are the critical tasks required of you before accessing the Budget Formulation production environment. Please take a moment to review these steps to assure your smooth transition to BF.

Steps to Go-Live:

1. Complete Full Cost 101 web-based training --> Access Full Cost 101 here: http://budgetformulation.gsfc.nasa.gov/registration/index.cfm

2. Attend the Pre-Training Workshops for foundational and role-specific Budget Formulation information --> View the Pre-Training Workshop schedule here: http://budgetformulation.gsfc.nasa.gov/Training.htm

3. Attend your scheduled, instructor-led training classes --> Login here to check on your assigned roles, training schedule, and course completion status: http://budgetformulation.gsfc.nasa.gov/registration/index.cfm

4. Complete NASA Form 1700 to gain access privileges to the BF system --> Look for your pre-populated Form and accompanying instructions via US mail (for IV&V and GISS users) and inter-office mail (for GSFC and WFF users) between Friday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 22.

5. Submit NF 1700 to the Center Security Administrator --> If you are located at GSFC, hand-carry your Form to Building 18, Room 200 between 8am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Don't forget to bring your NASA badge to verify your submission! If you are located elsewhere, reply via US mail (IV&V and GISS) or inter-office mail (WFF).

6. Contact the Help Desk (301-286-4IFM), and select Option #3, if you have any questions regarding BF.
