Members of the Goddard community in coordination with our Nation are recognizing October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Two days of presentations by guest lecturer Ken Glickman gave audiences a very exciting and unusual introduction to the Deaf World.

The Equal Opportunity Advisory Committee on People with Disabilities and the Equal Opportunity Programs Office, in conjunction with the Office of Human Resources, sponsored the two different shows Oct. 22 and 23 in the Building 3 auditorium.

The first show entitled DEAFology 101 was a highly entertaining and educating experience for most in the audience. Ken, as "Prof. Glick," presented this lecture dressed in a lab coat, beady black reading glasses and pipe in hand. In an imagery classroom setting with the audience as class members, Prof Glick in a hilarious, fast-past course presented material on everything from anthropology to biology. But in a unique and insightful presentation he allowed the audience to follow him in the exploration of situations unique to the world of people who are deaf.
