The Safety and
Environmental Division, Code 250 began activities in observance
of America Recycles Day by having the Goddard Child Development
kindergarten class demonstrate how easy it is to reuse. The kindergarten
class created artwork from material that would otherwise be trash,
making fish out of leftover wallpaper and two CDs that was collected
from advertising and mailings. In addition, the kindergarten class
made bird feeders from milk jugs, which are being displayed in building
21 lobby.
America Recycles
Day is an annual celebration to educate and encourage Americans
to recycle and buy recycled products. Since many Code 200 organizations
make up the recycling process here at Goddard, next Tuesday,
November 18 will be your opportunity to become familiar with
them by visiting various Code 200 exhibits in the building 21 lobby
from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Then on Wednesday, November 19, you
are invited to take away recycled content samples from store stock
vendors. Also, on Wednesday, Property Management will be auctioning
excess equipment. Stop by and view items starting at 11 a.m. to
be able to sign in and participate in the auction at Noon. Also,
enter your pledge for recycling with NASA at http://survey.ksc.nasa.gov/survey_1.cfm?s=NASA
