| ITEM (1): You Be the Scientist Educational Outreach
- The You Be the Scientist Educational Outreach Program was initiated by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. By allowing digital satellite technology and imagery data from NASA and NOAA to be distributed directly into schools, teachers are now using it in classroom studies of science, environment, technology, geography, and social studies.

| ITEM (2): Virtual Cultural Exchange - Living in one of the poorest areas in the country, these young Ohlaha-Lakota students are given a chance to take a virtual ride outside of the reservation with its "You Be the Scientist" program. Today, these students participated in an interactive webcast as a virtual cultural exchange with Northwest High School in Germantown, MD.

| ITEM (3): Students Observe Weather Systems - Through a grant, the school has gone from zero computers to more than 100, with a computer lab dedicated to GOES satellite weather imagery data where students observe weather systems and patterns, fires, hurricanes, and many other Earth phenomena.
