PRESS CONFERENCE ON WEATHER SATELLITE LAUNCH SCHEDULED

	A press conference to describe the science capabilities of the Geostationary
Operational Environmental Satellite-J (GOES-J), scheduled for launch in May, will be 
held tomorrow, Wednesday, April 26, 1995, at 10:00 a.m., at the National Press Club, 
First Amendment Room, 14th and F Streets, Washington, D.C.

	GOES-J is the second in a series of state-of-the-art geostationary weather 
satellites to be built and launched by NASA for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric 
Administration's (NOAA) National Weather Service.  


	Speakers from both NASA and NOAA will be on hand to brief reporters and 
answer questions.
