GODDARD SELECTS FIRM FOR UNIFORMED SECURITY SERVICES

NASA has selected SekTek, Inc. of Reston, Va. for the award of a task order under the General Services Administration schedule. The contractor will provide, operate and maintain an armed, uniform protective security force for the physical protection of NASA's security interests.

SekTek also will provide security support services (e.g., locksmithing, electronic security, classified document control, material destruction, security container (safe) tracking, identification services, key and keycard control, analyses of security, personnel security support, weapons maintenance, emergency medical technical personnel) and other related services as specified by the contract.

Services will be performed at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt, Md, the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City, NY, and at other NASA facilities as deemed appropriate.

The task order value for the firm fixed-price portion of this award is $26.5M, which includes a one-year base and four option years. The guaranteed minimum under the indefinite quantity portion of this task order (base and option periods combined) is $50,000.
