The purpose of this initiative is to develop a vision that guides, inspires and enables the earth science enterprise and its partners to meet future national aspirations and needs. Click here to view the presentation.

Stamp Cancellation Event

During Earth Awareness week, the United States Post Office (USPS) will provide a "Special Stamp Cancellation" at Goddard. These "Special Stamp Cancellations" become limited edition collectable mementos of special events. The cancellation imprint is available only for a short time around the date of the event. The stamps used can be any combination of United States postal service stamps (uncancelled) having a value equal to or greater than thirty-three cents (the current value of "first class mail"). The GSFC stamp club will sell envelopes with preprinted collectable designs. The U.S.P.S. will sell stamps and will provide the "Special Cancellations". This service will be offered both Sunday, April 16 (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) and Monday, April 17 (10:00 am -2:00 pm) on the Goddard Mall.  (The cancellation to be used is the graphic to the right of this paragraph.)
